1. Among the nursing informatics theories and models, choose one in which you think is best applicable in your role as student nurses. Justify your answer.

BENNER’S LEVEL OF EXPERTISE MODEL

Every nurse must be able to continuously exhibit the capability to acquire skills (in this case, computer literacy skills parallel with nursing knowledge), and then demonstrate specific skills beginning with the very first student experience. Because I believe that when you want to be the best or even not the best but if you want to be something you must first start of you must atleast try to at the lowest gound. For you to know the experience and for you to enhance your skills, so first be a novice, advance beginner, competent, profeicient, then believe me youl be an expert.

2. Benner’s model involves the concept “Levels of Expertise”. Based on how far you have gone in your journey as a student nurse, on which level of expertise you consider yourself at this point in time? Explain your answer.

For now I consider myself a novice because , I can say that I myself was still in the process of knowing things that I was still a beginner and in need for more knowledge to be on the next level. And I believe that through hardwork I can overcome all this levels with the guidance of our dear Father our Lord God Almighty.

3. As a nurse, you have an access on patients’ Electronic Health Records. What is your main responsibility in handling these records? Cite examples.

A a nurse my responsibility in handling these records is that I should always remeber that all the records must be between me and my patient only and that these records should not be shared to everyone for the clients privacy or the so called confidentiality was really something that must be always keep on mind .

4. Clinical decision support systems are widely used nowadays. In your own opinion, can we, health care professionals, totally rely on these systems? Justify your answer.

Clinical decission support system was really something that is really useful nowadays and I believe that all things that created by us cannot be totally called perfect for there will alays be the advantage and disadvantage of everything all I can say right now is that we must always try and pray for the good side for as we all know , CDSS was really has a big contribution in the health care system. So we cannot totally rely on it but we ourselves must always know how to double checked all things for a great outcome.

5. Clinical information systems proved to be very useful in health care delivery but these technologies are costly thus health services’ cost will also be affected. Do you think that in order to receive better health care services, the patients should pay more? Elaborate your answer.

Well for now , all I can say is that if through that thing something will be saved! I can say that the payment are not a thing to be seen indeed you must consider that through this someone lives can be save .
