My role as a nurse in the evaluation of information on the internet is to know the reliability of information found on the internet in our part as nurses, first we must know the purpose of the page, whether the information being posted as information, as a news source, as a research tool or as a way to gain attention. For not all information on the internet was reliable.

2.) Why is the use of modern technology essential for contemporary nursing practice?

Modern technology is essential for contemporary nursing practice because of its advantages that through the use of technology it will be a big help to improve health care efficiency, quality, safety, and cost. For example through the use of Electronic Health Record information about the patients would be more complete, by that providers improve their ability to make well-informed treatment decisions quickly and safely.

3.) What are the keys to Effective Use of Clinical Decision Support?

The keys to Effective Use of Clinical Decission Support is to make sure that the system has a nice quality and accuracy that it is safe when it comes in clinical decission support. For when the quality of the system was nice and very accurate it would be a very effective CDS. We must also check the safety of the system for the goodness of everyone.

4.) How EHR correlated to CDS? List some example.

EHR (Electronic Health Record) is a digital version of patient's paper chart. EHRs are real-time, patient-centered records that make information available instantly and securely to authorized users.

CDS (Clinical Decision Support) is a system, a health information technology system that is designed to assist physicians and other health professionals with clinical decision-making tasks.

EHR and CDS are correlated beccause both are a technology based and it is a record that can be checked instantly .

It is also correlated because as we all know both are designed to assist health providers with just one click .

5.) How the Internet Has Changed Nursing Practice?

The internet has changed nursing practice when it come to the quality, safety, time management and cost. I can say that the inernet has really changed nursing practice dramatically with the advent of the internet. For nowadays information is just a one click away .

The internet also changes nursing by helping nurses manage their work-life balance. For their are so many apps nowadays that can help to make our life easier to control work hours, react to needs at home, and collaborate efficiently with colleagues to sort it all out. This helps reduce stressed and can positively impact quality of care.
